Chief Mrs. Ajoke Omolaja Morohunfola
Chief Mrs. Ajoke Mary Grace Morohunfola, a member of AMMEF board, is the Yeye Akogun of Offa. She is the daughter of Late Alhaji, Chief Salami Ajala and Late Mama, Chief Esther Omotayo Ajala of Ile Alubata, Offa. Ajoke was born in Jos, Plateau State. She attended elementary school in Jos and went to Ansar-u-deen College, Isolo, Lagos State from 1971 to 1975 for secondary school. She attended Kwara State College of Technology (Kwara Tech), Ilorin for Advanced level courses.
Chief Mrs. Ajoke Morohunfola proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1979 and was baptized in public profession of her faith in the same year. She graduated with a degree in Sociology in 1982. After her one-year National Youth Service, she taught Government in a Secondary school in Ilorin for 2 years.
Chief Mrs. Ajoke Morohunfola is married to Chief Dr. Kehinde Morohunfola, the Akogun, and was blessed with three biological sons. She left Nigeria for United Kingdom with her husband in 1985. She moved to the United States of America (USA) in 1986 and supported her husband who was pursuing graduate studies.
Chief Mrs. Ajoke Morohunfola obtained a Master of Social Work in 1994. She moved with her husband to Greensburg, Kansas in the same year. She was a social worker serving her communities for several years. She rose through the ranks to become a Program Director. As a program director, she started and managed programs. She started Transitional program (homes) for people with mental illness, who are discharged from the hospital into these homes. She also started an Independent Living program for those that graduated from the Transitional program; and needed only minimal supervision.
Chief Mrs. Ajoke Morohunfola moved with her husband to Leawood, Kansas in 1997. She worked with the Salvation Army until 2005 as a Coordinator for several programs which included the Children shelter for Children in crisis, the Foster Care Program, the Transitional program for people with Drug and Alcohol problem, the Transitional home for homeless families, the Commercial kitchen, and the Maintenance department.
Since 2005, Chief Mrs. Ajoke Morohunfola has been involved in real estate investment. She is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She has places of services in the Ministries she is involved in. She volunteers to cook for the homeless in the community. She sponsors educational pursuits of students in Nigeria. She sponsors church planting in the USA and Nigeria. She identifies with and supports the vision and mission of the Akin and Mary Morohunfola Educational Foundation (AMMEF) and is a member of its board.
