Chief Dr. Oluwole Oludaisi Aina, the Asiwaju of Iresiland, is a visionary leader, philanthropist, and Christian mentor whose impact spans education, agriculture, business, and spiritual leadership. Born in 1954 in Iresi, Osun State, Nigeria, Chief Aina’s life is marked by a steadfast dedication to service, faith, and community development.
His educational journey began at Baptist Day School, Iresi, followed by his Teachers Grade II Certificate from Niger Baptist College (now Ahmadu Bahago Teacher College), Minna, in 1975. He later obtained a Cambridge Advanced Level Certificate from Kwara State College of Technology and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan in 1981. Deeply committed to Christian leadership, he earned a Master’s and Ph.D. in Christian Leadership from Regent University, Virginia, USA. He is also a Fellow and Member of the Academy of Fellows at the African Business School.
Chief Aina’s theological and leadership development includes training at Rhema Bible Training Centre, Peace House MILERT, and Haggai Institute, Maui, USA. He currently chairs the Abuja Chapter of Haggai Nigeria and serves on its National Board. He is a former Vice President of the International Christian Chambers of Commerce (Nigeria) and a member of the Third World Leaders Association founded by Dr. Myles Munroe
In agriculture, Chief Aina served as Chairman, Governing Council of the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), and Board Member of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, facilitating critical advancements in food security. He championed the establishment of the NRCRI sub-station in Iresi, serving the entire South-West.
As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Polytechnic, Iresi, and through the Oludaisi Aina Foundation, he promotes academic and vocational empowerment for underprivileged Nigerians. Since retiring from active business in 2012, he now serves as Group Chairman of The Regent Group, a diversified conglomerate contributing to job creation and economic growth.
A community leader and dual titleholder as the Oluomo and Asiwaju of Iresiland, Chief Aina is widely celebrated for his philanthropy and community service. He is a recipient of several national and international honors, including recognition by the Osun State Government.
Married to Chief (Mrs.) Omotayo Aina, he is a devoted father and grandfather, residing in Abuja, where they are active at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Gwarinpa. An avid golfer, he is a member of IBB International Golf Club, TYB Golf Resort, and Miccom Golf & Country Club, Ada.
